Kristy Ertelt, CPA, CCIFP - Nova Fire Protection - Chapter President - 
Kristy is the Controller for Nova Fire Protection, Inc. a fire sprinkler subcontractor located in Fargo, North Dakota.  She has been employed in the construction industry since March of 1998 and a member of CFMA since 2012.  Kristy graduated from the University of Jamestown in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Majors in Accounting and Business Administration. She currently resides in Fargo with her husband Mitch and daughter.  She also has a grown step-daughter and two beautiful granddaughters.  She is currently a co-leader for her daughter’s Girl Scout troop and enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family.

Mark Julik - Dawson Insurance - Chapter Vice President | Special Events Committee Member - mark@dawsonins.com
Mark is a commercial producer for Dawson Insurance and works solely with the construction industry. A graduate of St. Cloud State University, Mark has been in the insurance business since 2003. In addition to being involved with the CFMA, Mark is also an active member of the AGC (Associated General Contractors) of North Dakota and serves on both their Safety and Summer Outing committees. Outside of the office, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, golf, and relaxing at the cabin.

Jackie Peterson - Red River Electric, Inc. - Chapter Treasurer - jackiep@redriverelectric.com 
Jackie Peterson has been the Controller for Red River Electric, Inc. an electrical contractor in Moorhead, MN and CFMA member since 2014.  Jackie is a graduate of Minnesota State Technical College with a degree in Accounting and more years of experience than she would like to admit in private accounting.  Her favorite industry from an accounting stand point is construction accounting, which she has done for almost 16 years.  Jackie currently resides in West Fargo with her husband, son and one spoiled dog.  Most likely you will find her at a hockey rink, or just recently a football field, proudly cheering for her son and his teammates while enjoying the friendships developed along the way. 

Marla Blakeway - Minko Construction, Inc. - Chapter Secretary - marla@minko.com
Marla is the Office Manager for MinKo Construction, a general contractor and construction manager, located in Fargo, ND.  She has worked in the construction industry since 2002 and has been a member of CFMA since 2013.  Marla resides in Hawley, MN where she and her husband also own and operate an auto repair facility.  Outside of work Marla enjoys spending time with her parents, husband and 2 children along with volunteering at local non-profits in fundraising efforts.

Stephanie Magenau, CCIFP - Construction Engineers, Inc. - Chapter Immediate Past President | Special Events Committee Member - stephaniem@constructionengineers.com
Stephanie is the Controller for Construction Engineers, a construction manager and general contractor located in Grand Forks, ND.  She has been employed by Construction Engineers since 2002 and has been a member of CFMA since 2009.  She was a founding member of the Dakota Chapter, has attended CFMA Spring Creek, participated in the CFMA Mentoring Program, and currently serves as chairperson for the national CFMA Chapter Resource Committee. Stephanie is a 2002 graduate of the University of North Dakota where she earned a Bachelor of Accountancy.  Stephanie and her husband Dale reside in rural Manvel, ND with their two sons. She is an active member of the Manvel School PTO and enjoys "glamping" with her family and cheering on her boys' hockey teams.

Nicole Michael - Custom Aire, Inc. - Board Member at Large | Membership Committee Member - 
Nicole is the Office Manager at Custom Aire, a Mechanical Contracting & Service Company in Grand Forks, ND. She holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Management/Marketing, and Human Resources. It wasn’t until she started at Custom Aire in 2012 when Nicole found her passion for Construction Accounting and joined CFMA in 2015. Nicole is an active participant in her company currently serving as chairperson on the Business Financial Committee, member on the Strategic Focus Group that reassesses and guides the company with their Strategic Planning, and past member of the ESOP Committee. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband, three sons, and two dogs. Her hobbies include interior design, home renovation, and traveling.  

Nick Peterson, CPA - Fiebiger, Swanson, West & Co, PLLP - Board Member at Large | Membership Committee Member - nick@fsw-co.com
Nick is the Audit Department Manager at Fiebiger, Swanson, West & Co., PLLP (FSW).  He graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and earned his CPA designation in North Dakota in 2009. Nick specializes in audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements for construction contractors, other for-profit businesses, ESOPs, and nonprofit organizations. He is a member of NDCPA, AICPA, CFMA, CFMA National Membership Committee, and a member of the local Home Builder’s Association Public Issues Committee.  Outside of work, Nick is either enjoying time with his family and friends or playing drums with one of his bands (Post Traumatic Funk Syndrome and Davis?).

John is a partner and audit department leader with Fiebiger, Swanson, West & Co., PLLP. He graduated from Minot State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Accounting) and earned his CPA designation in North Dakota in 2007. John specializes in accounting and assurance services as well as consulting for construction contractors, other commercial businesses, ESOPs, and nonprofit organizations. He is a member of the NDCPA, AICPA, CFMA, ABC, and AGC. Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, scuba diving, and golfing.

Braeden Nelson - Dawson Insurance, Inc. - Program Committee Member - braeden@dawsonins.com
Braeden is a Surety Advisor at Dawson Insurance specializing in construction contract surety. After graduating from the University of North Dakota in 2010, Braeden spent the first 7 years of his career in lending before coming to work at Dawson Insurance in 2017. In addition to being involved in CFMA, Braeden is an active member in the AGC (Associated General Contractors) of North Dakota. In his free time, Braeden enjoys spending time with his wife, golfing, and being at the lake.

Ryan Grindeland - Roers Construction - Program Committee Member
Ryan is the Accountant for Roers Construction in Fargo, ND and for Roers West in Dickinson, ND.  He has 6 years of experience in the construction industry.  He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from North Dakota State University.  He has been a member of the CFMA since 2015.  In addition to membership in the CFMA, Ryan is also a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, a volunteer instructor for Junior Achievement, a volunteer with River Keepers, and music director at his church.  Ryan enjoys playing guitars, hockey, golf, skiing, racing sailboats, and any other lake activity.

Susan M. Bowman, CPA, CCIFP - Comstock Construction - Program Committee Member - 
Susan is Vice President of Finance/Administration at Comstock Construction, Inc. with 25 years of Construction industry experience in various financial positions.  She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from Golden Gate University, attained the CCIFP certification in 2007, and has been a member of CFMA since 2001.  She attended CFMA Spring Creek in October 2012 and has attended many CFMA national events.  Susan is also a member of the ND advisory council for the MN/ND Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., a board member of the Galchutt ND American Legion, and City Auditor for the City of Colfax.  She has been an active member of the American Legion for over 21 years, and is a veteran of the US Air Force.  She has also been active in her local school and church organizations.  Susan enjoys spending time with her husband of 28 years and two grown children.  She enjoys gardening, stained glass art, and quilting and is an avid reader.  As she discovered at Spring Creek….she definitely likes to “Take the Dirt Road!”

Wade Bakke - Fargo Glass & Paint Co. - Membership Committee Member - 
Wade Bakke is the Finance Manager of Fargo Glass & Paint Company.  FG&P is a glass and glazing company as well as a wholesale distributor of millwork, flooring and paint products in the upper Midwest.  Wade’s been in this role since March 2007 and has been with the company since June 29th, 2001.  He graduated college from Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) in 2000 with a B.S. degree in Accounting.  He’s an active member of the CFMA and has been since October 2012.  Wade volunteers at his local church as the property committee chairman.  He resides with his family in Hawley, MN.  Wade enjoys camping with his family, hunting, golfing and playing basketball.

Tony Oster, CPA - Redpath and Company - Special Events Committee Chair - 
Tony has been employed with Redpath & Co. since 2001.  Redpath & Co. is a full service accounting firm who provide accounting services for clients located throughout the Upper Midwest.  Tony is a senior tax manager in the commercial business tax service area and specializes in the manufacturing and construction industries.  He assists large clients with tax planning, tax preparation and provides consulting services for business and individuals.  In addition to the CFMA, Tony is also a member of the AICPA, MNCPA, NDCPA, AGC and ABC.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 kids and golfing.

Wade Sandy, CPA - Eide Bailly, LLP - Special Events Committee Member - wsandy@eidebailly.com
Wade brings more than 18 years public accounting experience to his work with clients in a variety of industries. Serving as chair of the Firm's construction industry group, Wade provides consulting services on a number of topics, including organizational structuring, financial forecasting, financing alternatives, review of costing systems and efficiency assessments. He is also active in the Firm's financial institutions industry group, and was named "Outstanding Banker" at the 2008 North Dakota Bankers Association School of Banking. Wade's passion for making a difference extends to his unrivaled service to the community outside of work. In addition to coaching youth baseball, he also serves on the board of directors of a non-profit crisis pregnancy center, as treasurer of a youth hockey club and is active in a local children's foundation that provides financial resources to support children's health care needs. Wade also enjoys spending time outdoors and with his family.
