Zahid Anwar - NDSU 

Zahid Anwar is a scholar at the Challey Institute for Global Innovation and Growth and an associate professor of cybersecurity in the Department of Computer Science at North Dakota State University. His research focuses on cybersecurity policy and innovative cyber defense. He has authored over 80 publications in peer-reviewed conferences and journals. He is a CompTIA Certified Penetration Tester, Network Vulnerability Assessment Professional, Security+ Professional, and an AWS Certified Cloud Solutions Architect. Prior to working in academia, Dr. Anwar was a software engineer and researcher at IBM T.J. Watson, Intel, Motorola, the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, xFlow research, and CERN. In 2015, he received a science of security research recognition from the National Security Agency. 

Brandi Hedin - Marsh McLennan Agency

Brandi's role at MMA is to manage client relationships, bring strategic risk management structures and solutions to her clients, and ensure that clients understand the tools and resources available to them and that best fit with their business.  A caring, trustworthy, and hard-working team player, Brandi puts in the time to get to know her clients and their business goals, objectives, strategies, and challenges. She believes not having a good understanding of their business makes the insurance placement that much more challenging. Success for Brandi is knowing and understanding her clients’ business and feeling like an extension of their team. For her, building a trusting relationship is the most rewarding aspect of her work.   Brandi is the MMA Dakotas Cyber Champion and sits on the MMA Upper Midwest Cyber Resiliency Network team. In her free time, she volunteers with the United Way of Cass/Clay. She also keeps busy with her daughter’s sports and activities and enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying active.
